User details

When you click the Add user button or click on the name of an existing user, the User details screen appears.

This is where all information about users of your SiteImprove account are held. If you are adding a new user, all fields will be blank.

User details

SMS: Enter the number of your mobile telephone. Remember to enter the country code in front of your number, e.g.  +44 for England, +33 for France etc. It is sometimes necessary to drop one or more digits from your phone number, e.g. in the UK drop the zero '0'. You can send a test SMS to the specified number by clicking 'Test SMS'.

Pause (DD.MM.YYYY): An optional time period where you don't want any notifications by e-mail or sms.

Account administrator: As an account administrator, you can grant administrator rights to your users by ticking this box. This allows the user to create users, modify users, delete users and configure the SiteImprove account.

The SMS and Pause fields are applicable to the SiteAlarm service only.

Product access

Any other SiteImprove services that you currently subscribe to will appear here.

Each service has preferences that are specific to them. Below is an example of the SiteCheck specific preferences.

Product specific user settings

For each service that you currently subscribe to, there is a tickbox labelled Visible. If this box is ticked, the status for that site or checkpoint for that service will be displayed when the user logs on to SiteImprove.

Click Save changes (or Save, if adding a new user) to update this user's profile.

Adding shortcuts to SiteImprove's services

You can add a direct link to any of the SiteImprove services by following these steps:

  • Right click on the See … (Service name) button.
  • Click Add to favorites.
  • When prompted by the Security Alert, Click Yes. You can add the link to any folder you wish. In order to add it to the Links toolbar in Internet Explorer, add it to the Links folder.
  • Click OK to add the link.
